Migration Guide for Legacy Blacksmith Users

For players who supported us by purchasing the Dark and Darker Standard Edition or Founders Edition before we relaunched Dark and Darker on Steam, we are offering the option to select your preferred platform to play the game.

This Blacksmith Migration is only available to accounts that purchased the game before June 7, 2024 (UTC).

*If you wish to continue playing the game on the Blacksmith platform, you do not need to migrate your account data.

There are THREE conditions to successfully migrate your Blacksmith account data:

• You must have no purchase history (DLC or Redstone Shards) on the new platform to which you want to transfer your Blacksmith account data.
• No characters should exist on the platform you want to transfer your Blacksmith account data. If there are any, they must be deleted.
• Your Blacksmith account must never have been platform-linked, or platform-selected from the cross-platform state in the past.

Attention! Please read the following notes before proceeding:

• The transfer cannot be undone once it is complete.
• The transfer code is only valid for 10 minutes. If the code expires, you must regenerate a new one through Step 1.
• For your convenience, please ensure that you have finished downloading Dark and Darker on the new platform.

Walkthrough guide on how to migrate your Blacksmith account data to your platform of choice:

Step 1

Launch the game from the Blacksmith Launcher, go to Options, and find the Account menu.

Click the Migration-Code button to generate the migration code, then save the code for the next step.

Step 2

Launch the game from your platform of choice (Steam) and click "Transfer my Blacksmith Account".

Enter the migration code and click "Link Account".

Click "Done", then the game will close itself. Please restart the game.

Step 3

Once your account progress is imported to the new platform, this popup window will be displayed. Carefully read the information in the pop-up window.

Once again, it is impossible to revoke your decision after clicking that "Yes" button,
so please choose carefully!
